ATTORNEY BIO
Matthew W. Kiverts is the principal/owner of the firm and personally handles all cases. Mr. Kiverts established the practice in 2010 with the goal of providing personal attention and effective representation to his clients, while keeping fees for his services to a bare minimum (often clients will pay nothing). Mr. Kiverts believes customer service is a top priority, and takes steps to ensure that he is always personally available to his clients whenever they have a question or concern.

Mr. Kiverts was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. He graduated cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.A. in History and Spanish in 2000, and received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2004.

Mr. Kiverts focuses his practice in the area of consumer law. While much of his practice centers on FDCPA / debt collection harassment litigation, he will readily counsel clients in other stages of debt solution, up to and including the filing of a Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy petition. In addition, lemon law / breach of warranty and tenant rights are areas where he has been able to help countless consumers.

Mr. Kiverts is fluent in the Spanish language and has lived abroad in both Spain and Venezuela. He uses this knowledge on a regular basis to help serve the ever growing Spanish speaking population in need of a proven consumer advocate.

Mr. Kiverts is also an Officer in the United States Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General’s Corp, where he provides legal assistance to soldiers and the United States Army.
